this week’s Thought (singular)
back to hourly hydration reminders. one day i will start drinking enough water and not stop.
a very warm welcome to all new readers. i love new readers so much that whenever i get an email about a new reader, i manifest that they finish that book they’ve been struggling to get through, or just stop reading it. thank you for joining us. may you realise you have just a chapter left to get through, or realise that you have nothing to prove and can just stop reading the book whenever they want to.
a very warm welcome to old readers as well. may good sense continue to prevail.
hi
we return to the 3rd annual thodi new year’s edition. the tradition continues!
step 1: grapple with the passage of time
shocked, confused, and in disbelief. you’re telling me this happens every year? and it’s been a year since it happened last?
step 2: recap all the clouds from the last 12 months
new year’s always makes me think of endings and beginnings and things in-between, and i give thanks for all of it. the year has been many things, like every year is, and i’ve learned, unlearned, grown, and realised a lot, as you all have borne witness to. here’s to another year of this and more and everything else.
i recently came across the poem below in a collection of translated rumi, and i think it’s the right prayer to take into 2025.
may we seek the light and look toward the sun. happy new year <3
